Adventure is “an unusual, exciting, or daring experience.”
Adventure is the spice of life. Who doesn’t want to break up their routine and the monotony of life with some fun, something mysterious and something exciting? Adventure comes in many forms including the following:
- Visiting far off cities or lands
- Exploring local places
- Attending events
- Sharing stories
- Exploring history
- Experiencing life outside your comfort zone
In our lives, we need a dose of adventure to mix things up and make things interesting. By pushing limits, boundaries and our comfort zones, we grow and learn new things. We hope that by posting some of our adventures that you will be inspired to go out and explore the beauty and the world around you.
When I travel, I take a lot of pictures. I post them on the Small Scale Life Instagram page, and I will create photo diaries of my trips here on Small Scale Life. The following photo diaries have been posted on this blog:
- Photo Diary of a Minneapolis Sunset in January
- Northwoods in November – Part 2
- Northwoods in November – Part 1
Julie and I travel to other places and explore. You never know where you might end up. These articles have more information than photo diaries, and hopefully these posts inspire you to get out and see the world around you.
Having some adventure is good for us. We need to get out and experience life together. I have posted some summaries of date nights and hope that you get a chance to get out and enjoy the evening with your special someone.

Tom Hardy’s “Taboo”
Tom Hardy’s drama “Taboo” premiered on January 10, 2017, on FX. A fan of the early 1800’s history, tall ships and life, I became very interested in the show. I have created fan podcasts and articles for the show to provide my view of the show and my thoughts on other events happening in 1814. I have listed the podcasts and posts below.
