There is so much to unpack in the 24 Hour Plan discussion that Tom and I decided it deserved TWO “Day 1’s.” (I know, that doesn’t really make sense, but we’re figuring it out as we go!) Our previous post provided you with details about how to complete your 24 Hour Plan worksheet. Remember to be realistic and honest and meet yourself where you’re at. In today’s post we wanted to provide you with a Podcast we recorded that delves a little deeper into our discussion about planning.

Resetting and overhauling our lives doesn’t happen overnight. We can’t go from sitting on the couch eating tons of junk food and not exercising to eating a completely clean diet and exercising an hour a day overnight! We can’t decide to lose 100 pounds or run a marathon and do it in 3 months. Well, unless we are on the Biggest Loser or we’re David Goggins, and let’s face it folks, that’s not reality for most of us. And it’s not sustainable for the contestants on the Biggest Loser for the most part either. Now David Goggins… he might actually be super human! What us normal humans have to do is start where we are at, even if it’s not where you are ultimately aiming. Start with small, realistic, attainable wins that will give us the little successes that inspire us to keep going. You’ll get there, it’s just going to take some time… and doing your 24 Hour Plan every day, and committing to it, is key!
Corinne Crabtree: Phit-n-Phat
I follow a motivational speaker/life coach who lost 100 pounds named Corinne Crabtree. She is passionate about helping people lose weight, not only physically but emotionally. You can find her at https://www.phit-n-phat.com/. Seriously you guys, she is so easy to relate to and has such a realistic approach… as her podcast says “she’s sassy, southern, honest, and tells it just like it is!” She does tend to curse quite a bit, so if you are easily offended, this may not be right for you. Since I also tend to occasionally cuss like a sailor, I think she’s hilarious. She speaks primarily to women, but Tom and I both listen to her all the time and he finds her entertaining and has learned so much from her too.
Kevin Geary – Rebooted Body
We also follow another life coach named Kevin Geary whose message is very similar just with a different presentation. [Tom here: If that is familiar to long-time Small Scale Life Podcast listeners, that is because he has been on the show twice! The first time, he talked with Drew Sample and I about Rebooted Body, and the second time he was on to discuss starting a lifestyle business! He is just as relatable and entertaining to listen to, and his stuff makes so much sense.] He can be found at https://rebootedbody.com/. Both Kevin and Corinne have podcasts that are a great place to start to get you motivated and inspired. I use my commuting time to listen to podcasts and learn as I drive. Better that than road-raging out on all of the stupid drivers out there! 🙂
Our Final Thoughts on Day 1
If you listen to Corinne and Kevin, you will find that a lot of our health and fitness tips and life hacks have come from what we have learned from their programs, and we just can’t sing their praises enough.
Remember that this is all about PROGRESS, not PERFECTION, friends. Small changes, compounding over time and growing into bigger and bigger changes, are what will get you to that goal and help you sustain it for a lifetime. Keep gettin after it, Lifers!
