What is Atlantis Gazette?

The Atlantis Gazette is an art, business and lifestyle blogging and podcast project started by my friend Cal Massey from California.  As he describes in this episode, Atlantis is a mythical and fictional city that disappeared under the ocean.  The Atlantis Gazette is a newspaper dedicated to people doing cool things in the world.

Cal has big plans for the Atlantis Gazette, and he starting his launch by interviewing people like Russian Painter Sasha Syssoeva and me on his Instagram Channel. Cal will eventually rebuild his blog site and develop a YouTube Channel.

After my interview with Cal on his Atlantis Gazette Instagram Channel, I wanted to talk more to Cal in order learn more about him and his project.  In this podcast episode, we dig into his journey and his plans for his podcast, blog, art, book and game projects.

What is Escape Velocity?

This is part of a new project here on Small Scale Life called “Escape Velocity.”  Many people have ideas, dreams or even goals for starting a side hustle or business; however, they never act and never start. Some launch and fail.  Others launch and get enough momentum to escape the gravitational pull of an ordinary life, job or career and start a new side hustle and business.

In my mind, I see the Escape Velocity Episodes as a way to bring togetgher Financial Freedom and Building Community aspects of Small Scale Life.  I am interviewing people who are on the path to creating a new side hustle or business. Since I have started and failed three times at being an Amazon Associate, I felt I had a few things to learn. I want to ask these motivated people the following:

  • What was their tipping point?
  • What inspired them to change?
  • How did they start?
  • What challenges did they face?
  • What lessons did they learn along the way?

By listening to these interviews and stories, maybe you’ll be inspired to launch on your own.  Maybe you’ll achieve escape velocity and move forward to explore new worlds and boldly go where no person has gone before…..

Do You have a Side Hustle or Business? Let’s
Talk!

Some of you have great projects, side hustles or businesses. Perhaps you would like to share your story with our audience. We (I) could learn from you, and it would be FREE advertising for your project, side hustle or idea.
